Your data stays on your device

The preferences you set in Venster's Settings — your time format, language, and named places (with their icons and addresses) — are stored only in your browser's localStorage, on this device. They are never sent to our servers as part of a journey search, and we do not sync or back them up anywhere.

What that means

• Nobody but you can see your named places.
• Clearing your browser data (or using another device/browser) starts you fresh — the settings won't follow you.
• Removing a named place deletes it immediately and completely.

What we do process

To plan a journey, the From/To you type is sent to the routing and address-lookup services so we can resolve places and compute departures. That is the trip request itself — separate from the on-device settings described above.
